Is this headset Noise Cancelling?
The RA950 headset has active noise cancellation (ANR) and will block out 39.5db of noise at 3000Hz.

What powers the the headset’s circuitry? Are batteries needed?
The RA950 requires two "AA" batteries. If the batteries become depleted, the headset will then revert to passive noise cancellation.

Is the audio output mono or stereo?
You can choose between mono or stereo output using the switch on the cord of the RA950. Verbal communications have a higher sound quality using mono whereas music sound quality is better with stereo output.

If you are only hearing audio in one ear, change your audio output to match your aircraft's internal communication system output. The mono/stereo switch can be found in the battery box.

Will this headset work...in a commercial aircraft jumpseat? In a helicopter? with a David Clark System? For In-car communications? As a computer gaming headset?
The RA950 headset was designed as a general aviation headset to be used with an aircraft’s internal communication system that accommodates dual plugs (also known as PJ plugs).

Any aircraft that is compatible with dual plugs will allow for optimal performance of this headset.

With slight modifications or cable adapters, this headset can be used in a variety of scenarios but it is not recommended.

We offer the fastest, same day shipping in the business, so you won't have to wait for your gear. In most cases, in-stock orders placed before 2:00 PM EST on weekdays will be shipped that same day. Orders placed on weekends and holidays will ship out the next business day. If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment, we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment. DOMESTIC U.S. ORDERS
Orders shipping to the United States have three shipping options: ground (which typically takes 3-5 days), 2-day air, or overnight. Note that these are days in transit are business days, so Saturday and Sunday are not included. We ship by UPS and US Mail.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
ProfessionalAviationHeadsets.com happily ships internationally! We have two options to use. DHL and USPS (US Postal Service) Global Express Service for shipments outside of the United States. The shipping charges are based on the weight of the package.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS, TAXES, & DUTIES
Our price quotes do not include any customs or duty charges. All items are subject to duty regulations that vary by country. All items entering a foreign country are subject to customs inspection and the assessment of duties and taxes in accordance with that country's national laws. Customs duties and taxes are assessed, generally, if the merchandise is dutiable and the value of the item is above the threshold set by the country's laws. If a shipment is refused upon delivery, the customer is responsible for any duty or tax if the package is opened and inspected by customs officials.
